Cigar City Chronicles - A Musical History of Tampa from Saturday, February 17 - April 29, 2007, Performances at 2:00 pm and 7:30 pm at the Jaeb Theater (Tampa Bay Performing Arts Center). In conjunction with TBPAC, The Krewe of Hillsborough will help kick off the Premier of Cigar City Chronicles and invite everyone to attend this show. The world premiere of the new production Cigar City Chronicles: A Musical History of Tampa by Stan Collins and Claude McNeal. A rich and colorful celebration of the history of Tampa through song and dance, Cigar City Chronicles is scheduled to premiere with a gala opening night performance in TBPAC's Jaeb Theater on Friday, February 16th, 2007 and continue through April 2007. Friday, April 27th and Saturday, April 28th, 2007 - Bradenton Parade Weekend Party Information!

The Krewe of Shamrock is organizing a Jello Shot Contest, Friday April 27 in Bradenton. Anyone from any krewe who would like to enter is welcome. There is no fee to enter, but I need to know who is participating by April 26.
The contest will be Friday night outside the hospitality suite, beginnging at 7pm. Contestants must make at least 100 of one type of shot to enter. Contestants may enter more than one type, but must bring 100 of each tasty concoction.
Contestants should bring whatever they need to serve their shots (small table, trays etc.) and may also use whatever gimmick you want (as long as its legal) to sway the voters into donating more and/or voting for you. The winner will be crowned later that night and will receive a $50 gift certificate for Margarita Mama's/Bahama Joe's/Slingshots.
Anyone who would like to be a "judge" can donate at least $5.
Proceeds will support the Shamrock's Relay for Life efforts. The Shamrocks will be participating in the May 18-19 Upper Tampa Bay Relay for Life.

Additional parking is located at the corner of 1st Street, at the Old Albertson’s parking lot.
The parking lot on the south side of the Days Inn pool area is where the music and food will be. That lot will be closed off each afternoon to vehicle traffic.
Pool seating is limited, so remember to bring your beach chair No glass or clear containers allowed in the pool area.
There will be young players from the Pirates Baseball Farm league staying at our hotel; no underage drinking will be tolerated.

Ye Loyal Krewe of Grace O'Malley is sponsoring a bus to the Bradenton parade on April 28th. They have several seats left which they are offering up to other Krewes in order to fill the bus.
The bus will leave from the old Floriland Mall parking lot (9309 North Florida Avenue) at 4:00 p.m. The bus will drop us at the staging area at Manatee High School. It will be waiting for us at the end of the parade route to bring us back to Tampa by approximately 11:00 p.m. Cost will be $25 per person. Volunteers needed for Special Olympics Florida State Summer Games – Saturday, April 28th.
On Saturday, April 28th the Special Olympics Florida State Summer Games will be held at the University of South Florida. The Krewe of Agustina has hosted and volunteered at the cycling venue for the past few years. This year we would like to invite members of other Krewes, who may not be going to the Bradenton Parade to join us for a fun day volunteering for a great organization.
Volunteers will need to be at USF at 7:30 am to assist with set up. The cycling competition should conclude by 3:00pm. If you are unable to volunteer for the entire time, let me know what times you are available and I will work with you. This is also a great opportunity for you to volunteer with your children who may need volunteer hours for school. Children are able to volunteer with their parents.
Positions include athlete check-in, Course Marshal, stagers, starters, course marshals and awards. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact Bridget Robertson at Agustina144@verizon.net

We are working with one of our designated charities, Cat Call, who is having a giant yard sale to raise desperately needed funds. This gives us all the opportunity to help out and in the meantime, get rid of stuff worth something that you've had just sitting around your house wanting to get rid of. The Sale is Saturday, April 28th, 2007 and while many of us will be in Bradenton, we can still help out a lot by bringing stuff to the storage unit they've rented to collect items. Annual "Big Stick" Golf Tournament For those who played in last year's tournament, this year's will be as good or better. The tournament will be held at the East lake Woodlands Country Club, Tampa Road, Oldsmar on Friday, May 18, 2007. The course will be more enjoyable for the majority of our participants with out comprising quality. We will have a 9am Shot Gun Start, 4-man scramble format. The cost is $135.00 per player. This includes a continental breakfast beginning at 7am, followed by our legendary lunch with a free keg of beer, cash bar, and all you can eat shrimp and crab claws. All of this is available at the conclusion of the tournament. There will be a goody bag, complimentary range balls and two beverage carts on the course with beer, soda and water at no charge. For those who can't wait for lunch, there is a Half Way House at the turn serving hot dogs, snacks, and drinks. We will have all the same contests that were a big hit last year: Hole in One and Closest to the Hole Par Threes, Longest Drive and our famous Putting Contest. We will have awards, raffles, and other surprises after lunch. For the convenience of the golfers, we have arranged for rooms at the Marriot Courtyard which is five minutes from the country club. To register for the golf tournament and the hotel, we have attached a registration form to be completed and emailed as instructed. The hotel attachment gives all pertinent information - rates and how to register. We are looking forward to another successful "Big Stick" Tournament. June 9th, 2007 - The Krewe of the Hernando County Freebooters (along with Jackie Johnson of the Thieves of San Lorenzo, David Johnson of the Krewe of Brigadoon) have embarked to help Mrs. Dee Mills and her husband Rob Mills on the quest to honor their Fallen Son Marine Sgt. Lea Mills, KIA in the Anbar province of Iraq on April 28, 2006.
We are helping raise funds with a “Poker Run” on June 9 (Cars will be welcome as well) as we help the Mills family collect items and ship packages to honor their fallen son and all the US Servicemen in the “war theater” overseas. This family since their son’s death has been raising funds and donations of items soldiers need and then ships them overseas to the soldiers. Please take a moment to follow the links I have attached to read of this Brave Sergeant and his Awesome loving family
We are proud to have been asked to assist in helping this family. All the details are being finalized at this time. It will begin at the Spring Hill Marine Corps Detachment # 708 on Sunshine Grove Rd. (Brooksville / Spring Hill)
