Captain Henry Morgan and the Krewe of RumRunners was formed in July of 2002 as a social organization with a strong dedication to our local community, and to children.

The membership of the Krewe of RumRunners represents men and women from very diverse backgrounds, professions and age groups in the Tampa Bay area brought together by a desire to give back to the community that has given so much to us.

Our goal is to volunteer in the capacity as role models and mentors to the Bay area children, adults and senior citizens who are underprivileged, abused, sick or institutionalized.

We work as liaisons with local area hospitals, orphanage, senior care facilities, abuse shelters and other pertinent institutions to support their efforts and schedule visits, as well as organize and host charity events.

Our charitable endeavors include Shriner's Children's Hospital, St. Joseph's Children's Hospital, Hope Children's Home, several visits to children in local schools, and several others events in the local community.

We participate in the major Tampa parades, as well as some in the local area. The 2006-2007 RumRunner parade season consists of:

  • Guavaween
  • The Gasparilla Children's Parade
  • Ye Mystic Krewe Gasparilla Parade
  • Krewe of Sant' Yago Illuminated Knight Parade
  • St. Patrick's Night Parade
  • Chasco Parade in New Port Richey
  • Bradenton Heritage Parade
